The MINI range continues to expand. The latest addition is the all new Paceman.
YOU just don't know where BMW are going with more new MINIs coming along. Firstly, there was the One, the Cooper and the Cooper S hatchback. Soon after, these also became available as an open top cabriolet. Then came the MINI Clubman estate, the Countryman faux by four, the roadster and the coupe.
The latest new MINI is the all new Paceman. It's another niche product that is trying to be a coupe and an SUV. Which is evidently seen with losing the doors, the lower ride height and the lower roofline than the Countryman it's based on.
There will be One, Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Works versions of Paceman. It's likely it will share the same engines, be available with front wheel drive or all4 four wheel drive system as the Countryman. Like with every car in the MINI line up, you will be able to personalise it to suit your taste or budget. The Paceman is to be unveiled at this year's Paris Motor Show. It will be on sale in the UK from March next year and prices start from £18,970.
No doubt the Paceman will divide opinion. Some will love the look and the idea of it, whereas other will deem it pointless. To the nay-sayers, MINI will argue that the Paceman is a car in the line-up is to offer more space than a standard MINI, along with their blueprints of style and driver thrills.
Whether you love it or hate the Paceman. I'll leave that to you...
